Volvo may release a new subcompact electric crossover Volvo EX30

Volvo plans to launch a subcompact crossover on the Geely SEA modular electric platform. The novelty will be released after the flagship Volvo EX90 electric crossover and, presumably, will receive the name EX30.

The head of Volvo Australia told reporters about the release of the new car. He said that the novelty will appear on the Australian market next year, perhaps even earlier than the Volvo EX90. Presumably, the novelty will be assembled in China, which is one of the priority regions for the Swedish brand.

What characteristics the compact Swedish crossover on an electric platform will have can only be guessed at. The exact timing of the release with the cost remains unknown.

Recall that the premiere of the flagship Volvo EX90 on an electric “trolley” will be held in Stockholm on November 9, and it will go on sale only next year. The manufacturer promises that this will be the safest model in the range of the brand. She will receive LiDAR and a unique security system for passengers.
