The Russian company produced a batch of dump trucks on the Volvo FMX chassis
The Russian company Grunwald has released a batch of dump trucks on the Volvo FMX chassis. The design feature is a three-axle tridem configuration cargo trolley, the company’s press service said on July 18.
The Volvo FMX 420 HP chassis is based on the 8×4 Rigid Tag Tridem chassis. The supporting axle with a lifting mechanism is located behind the two driving axles of the vehicle.
This solution is used for construction dump trucks, whose purpose is to work within the city. A machine with a rear lift axle is more maneuverable than classmates with a standard chassis, and allows you to deliver a significant amount of cargo in one trip.
The dump body with a volume of 20 cubic meters is made of wear-resistant and impact-resistant steel. Its design includes a system for heating the cargo with exhaust gases.
The manufacturer specified that the new dump trucks will be operated in Perm at road construction sites.
“Izvestia” wrote that the Minsk Automobile Plant, MAZ, presented the first electric truck in its history. By the end of 2022, the company will produce 10 electric vehicles. The novelty is based on the MAZ-4381 Kornet model. The electric drive was manufactured by Mogilevliftmash, other necessary units were manufactured by the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant.
